Guest MarcoC Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I recently had some problems with a software application affecting my CD drivers. In the end, I returned to a previous Windows restore point which was created just before I installed some software, and the CD drivers are fine. But now, every time I go to the add or remove programs dialog and scroll down the list, there is a point where all I get is black vertical lines instead of listings of software. It appears that all of the correct entries are there, but the list is split in 2 - some programs are listed, then there are these black lines of corruption for a while, and then the list continues. Any ideas on what has happened here?

You can look at the alphabetical listing of programs and figure out which one is missing or damaged, then remove it through its Uninstall options (if available). Also try this: 226. (r-h column) Remove the White Space from Add or Remove http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm More.. scroll down to the Add/Remove section. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm -- Joe =o)
