Guest Ozgur Yapici Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Re: Windows 2003 Service Pack 2 Space Requirement Coraleigh, Our domain controller have 940 MB free space on C drive. Other drives have more than 20 GB free spaces. I have copied Service Pack 2 installation file to D drive. And, during installation, I also selected D drive for uninstallation files of SP2. But, installation failed and I encountered "not enough free space" message and system crashed. System couldn't uninstall SP2 then didn't open again. So, according to following article, should I install SP2 from a shared folder ? Guest Coraleigh Miller Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Re: Windows 2003 Service Pack 2 Space Requirement Hi Ozgur, The D drive basically has the safe effect as installing from a shared network folder. The space requirements list needing 1.2GB at peak installation on your drive C, and while your changing the location of the uninstallation files helps im sure, you are just cutting it too close. Is there any space of your C that you can free up? If you cannot free up anymore space, you could consider moving your Windows page file to one of your other server local hard drives with space, give this a careful read to perform this... http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2004/04/27/pagefile.html Coraleigh "Ozgur Yapici" <ozgur.yapici@dhl.com> wrote in message news:etWpJgWzHHA.1100@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Coraleigh, > > Our domain controller have 940 MB free space on C drive.
