Hello all,

First, my apology if this is the wrong NG for this question.

I am trying to find detailed descriptions for the EventID's used

by the operating system when writing events to the event log. I

have found information related to "security" at MSDN, but what

Here is an example of what I am asking for

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299475

but for ALL event ID's explained. Is there such a reference ?

I am having a bit of trouble finding one. At the very least, I would

like to get the event id's for failed file and folder deletes due to lack

of permissions.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Event Log Descriptions

This may be more of a troubleshooting angle on event IDs but it is an

excellent site and you should check it out anyway. :-) http://www.eventid.net
