Guest b11_ Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 When I run the setup file of a USB Flash Disk Driver, a message on the screen informs me that the driver is already installed but a USB thumb drive that is in a USB socket is not recognized by W98. When I checked Device Manager, I see no WARNING of a problem there. You suggestions please.

Otherwise there is UVCView which "is based on the USBView tool" and which "uses the May 2005 USB.org vendor list": http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/stream/vidcap/UVCView.mspx If Usbview or UVCView detect your flash drive, but W98 doesn't recognise it, then you have a software issue. - Franc Zabkar -- Please remove one 'i' from my address when replying by email.
