Guest Robert L [MVP - Networking] Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Re: DHCP Setting According to MS Article, ¡§A DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server can provide IP addresses to clients spanning multiple subnets if the router that separates them can act as an RFC 1542(BOOTP) relay agent. If the router cannot function as relay agent, each subnet that has DHCP clients requires a DHCP server¡¨. Setup multiple scopes you need multiple NICs or VLAN. If you use Windows server as RRAS, you may want to enable DHCP Relay Agent. These links may help, How to add the DHCP Relay Agent in RRAS How to configure Windows DHCP Scope How to enable the DHCP Relay Agent on a router interface http://www.howtonetworking.com/server/server.htm Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "snakesboy" <snakesboys@gmail.com> wrote in message news:1185356348.908833.266820@z28g2000prd.googlegroups.com...
