Hello,

How to set up a time sync scheme so that there's one server (W2K3) in the

LAN which obtains time from web and distributes it to clients (XP) and other

servers (W2K3&W2K)?

Thanks

-Will

RE: Time

In the registry your PDC emulating server should be set to 'Type = NTP' and

pointed to external time service provider.

All other computers should be set to 'Type = NT5DS' (default for

workstations); they will synch with their authenticating server, which will

in turn ..... ending up with the PDC emulator which is root of the

authentication tree.

There are two good articles in the KB about how W32Time works, and how to

set up an authoritative time server.
