Guest William Stokes Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Hello, How to set up a time sync scheme so that there's one server (W2K3) in the LAN which obtains time from web and distributes it to clients (XP) and other servers (W2K3&W2K)? Thanks -Will
Guest Newell White Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 RE: Time In the registry your PDC emulating server should be set to 'Type = NTP' and pointed to external time service provider. All other computers should be set to 'Type = NT5DS' (default for workstations); they will synch with their authenticating server, which will in turn ..... ending up with the PDC emulator which is root of the authentication tree. There are two good articles in the KB about how W32Time works, and how to set up an authoritative time server. -- Newell White "William Stokes" wrote: > Hello, > > How to set up a time sync scheme so that there's one server (W2K3) in the > LAN which obtains time from web and distributes it to clients (XP) and other > servers (W2K3&W2K)? > > Thanks > -Will > > >
