When i start my windows, it will hang very long in the windows server login

screen , "Applying computer settings" . After that it will still entered to

windows but it can't ping or get on to internet. When i open control panel

it will hang or stop responding very long. I've use administrator tools from

my windows xp and it can get into the domain and view the active directory.

Anyone pls advise.

Re: Windows login issue

Hi Daniel,

This sounds alot like what Powerchute 6.x (UPS software) did back in 2005,

do you have any 3rd

party apps installed on this server? You might want to try disabling any

from bootup and see if your issue disapears and then track it down to which

is the culprit.

You also might want to run a virus scan and/or spyware scan.

Re: Windows login issue

The apc ups itself wouldnt cause this issue, it would just be the Powerchute

6.x software if you had it installed.
