Why is PONG not on the list? I understand there is a new one with with spacemen that fall from the sky and you shoot them but don't know the name.

I've got an old Atari ST that I upgraded to 2mb (!) gathering dust in the loft, what a machine, played "Hunt for Red October" in real time on that and nearly died of boredom.
If it ain't broke.........

I have to say a commodore, I love the 16, Amiga and 64. My hubbie would argue the 360. There's just something about chasing a flashing dot for hours, and so colorful too. There's a reason why todays consoles and PC's are disposable, yet I still have my full working commodore originals. Made to last! :)

Wow holy thread revival batman!!!!

the irony of this thread is that on other forums that I have been a member of in the past it has been proven that for value for money, and playability a console will win over a PC,

but for versatility PC's win, well show me a Playstation, Xbox, emulator :)

but one of my all time favourite games has to be Microsoft's Elite from the 80's

yes yes, emulation, great! Now we teach kids of today to point and click that's how the game is made, stick it on a shiny disk in a shiny machine and hey presto! None of the knowing, no putting a cassette in, clunk kerching and you see it go? And printer plotters, not that's education in itself LOL I am a huge fan of the Xbox 360 of course, mainly because of the lifetime warranty I have received for poor POOR workmanship from Microsoft. My 64? Still as good as gold, been chucked about abit, stored etc and works a treat! As for the revival, I just couldn't resist :) I LOVE MY 64 LOL

It used to be the case that consoles were not liked because of the pricing on the games - games now for PS3 and 360 can be on offer from £5 - £10
