SuperAnti Spyware have released Version 4.1.1046 for download.

Technology Changes

Improved scanning performance (speed)

Enhanced Direct Disk Access (DDA)

Improved scanning engine for detection of rootkit items

Improved detection of packed/compressed threats

Resolved rare issues with DDA (Direct Disk Access) and improved compatibility with various NTFS formats

Resolved rare crash issues with improperly written drivers (mainly spyware) that caused Kernel Direct to fault

Firefox cookie scanning and removal

User Interface Changes

Vista UAC Issues Resolved - You should not be prompted by UAC on Admin or Limited user account under Vista. You cannot install program updates on a Limited Account as this breaks the Admin/Limited use paradigm.

Windows "No Disk" issues resolved - this a Windows error due to it's caching of disk volumes - this no longer should show up for empty CD/DVD driver, flash drives, etc.

You may now disable the Splash screen in the Free and Professional Editions

SUPERAntiSpyware.com - AntiAdware. AntiSpyware. AntiMalware.

Kelly, on versions prior to 4.0 you could update the program to a newer

version if you first went to Preferences and clicked the update button

on the General & Startup tab. By default, it was set to automatically

check for program updates (I think).

On version 4.0 you can also get program updates but it's been moved

to.. Preferences - Updates tab. There you can set it to automaticaly

check for program updates but I'm not sure what the default setting is.

Do you mean 3.x or 4.x ?

I know the 4.x version does, but not positive if the 3.x version does. I can ask or check and get back to you if you like.
