Computer is so slow! Where do I start?!?

Something else that is rather annoying is that the modem seems to cut the internet connection so frequently! Every 10-15 minutes it cuts off. I have to take it out of the USB port, put it back in, let it load up and then reconnect. Probably just a cheap and nasty modem but I must admit very annoying!

Well in my personal opinion McAfee does you no favours, it's a fair old resource hugger and will suck the guts out of your system.

 

Which ISP are you using by the way as there should be no reason for disconnects?

I did have the AVG programme but that slowed the computer down too. What programme is probably best to use would you say? Any free one's available :D

 

My ISP is uwclub. They do all of our household bills - guarantee to be the cheapest provider for all of your bills

Here are some tips off my website:

1.Clean out computer history everyweek.

2.Clean out the cookies folder Start+run+cookies everyweek.

3.Defragment your computer everyweek.

4. Disk cleanup your computer every week.

5. Run a virus scan every 2 days.

6. Check for updates everyday.

7.Clean out unwanted files everymonth.

8.Do a system backup twice a week.

9.Clean the dust out of your computer every month.

10.Most important remember to switch it off,if not using!
