Why new data to my \Temp ?

In my Mce 2004 XP SP2 \local settings\temp file, have recently been

getting new/questionable additions for various including this newsgroup.

They are read only "www1F.tmp" (hex count is incrementing over time);

containing for example:

[DEFAULT]

BASEURL=http://www.microsoft.com/athome/default.mspx

[DOC_pagetools]

XMLUSERDATA__Size=720D00007F

XMLUSERDATA=3C0...etc.. (on and on for 8K)

I would like to know why this is happening, or how to prevent it. Seems

mainly to be coming from Microsoft.

If "read only" means "in use" because you can't delete that file, run the

"Process Explorer" in order to find the respective program.

Process Explorer > Find > Find Handle or DLL > www1F.tmp > Search.
