windows update not completed.

Hi,

I tried to run windows updates. It recognized and downloaded updates but not of them were installed. At the end windows showed the message that "the list of updates below are not installed" Why does it happen?

Hi - try posting this in microsoft.public.windowsupdate for more expert

help.

Re: windows update not completed.

 

You can try doing a search for the SoftwareDistribution folder. Change the

name to SDold and reboot your machine and try updates again.

Re: windows update not completed.

 

There are two Softwaredistribution folders. one is in Windows and one in

System32. The folder in Windows is not able to renamed.

I renamed the folder in System32. However, My computer still not able to

install all updates. Thanks
