Hey, I recently bought a Penryn 1600 Sli-110 db Mother board and an Nvidia 8800GT Graphics card, Installing them was not a problem (only the cpu heatsink was a pain to fit... **** intel). I've installed up to date drivers for the motherboard and it works well, but the graphics card however is another story entirely. I've installed the most up to date driver, yet everytime i restart i get the "Found New Hardware" message about my video controller. I've done everything i could think of, updated the bios and checked to make sure PCIE was the default video option, and uninstalled all video drivers / installed them again. I'm completely fizzled, Any ideas?

Hi Punkow

Welcome to FPCH

Try uninstalling the driver, remove the card, reinstall the driver and then reseat the card.

Still have the same problems, "No Driver files are required or have been loaded for this device" this is the message i get when i try to view the drivers through device manager. I've done a google search but cannot find anything relevant to my particular problem.

If you have a quick search on google for Nvidea driver complete uninstall or on nvidea website they have a software to get rid of EVERYTHING that the nvidea drivers add - if you go in your C drive there is a folder called Nvidea and if you go in their and there is more than one folder i.e 159.10 and then another delete the one that is the oldest version (by the lower number) and then use the program from the website to get rid of all the other bits that lurk around.

For future reference you NEED to uninstall the old Nvidea driver, run the program that you get off the nvidea site to get rid of all the gubbings and then Restart and then install the new one and then restart again - DONE

for those with ATI cards like myself ;) they have the same version of the software on their website
