Guest usspskghws@mailinator.com Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 After trying out a few hotkey programs, I have gone back to plain ol' XP Pro SP2. Unfortunately I have now lost much of the WIN key capabilities. None of the "Microsoft natural keyboard shortcuts" described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301583 now work EXCEPT for the first and last in the list: · Windows Logo (Display or hide the Start menu) · Windows Logo+BREAK (Display the System Properties dialog box) · Windows Logo+D (Display the desktop) · Windows Logo+M (Minimize all of the windows) · Windows Logo+SHIFT+M (Restore the minimized windows) · Windows Logo+E (Open My Computer) · Windows Logo+F (Search for a file or a folder) · CTRL+Windows Logo+F (Search for computers) · Windows Logo+F1 (Display Windows Help) · Windows Logo+ L (Lock the keyboard) · Windows Logo+R (Open the Run dialog box) · Windows Logo+U (Open Utility Manager) I've tried all I can dig up to try to find/ resolve the problem: - I've tried TweakUI, toggling Explorer > checkbox "Enable Windows + X hotkeys", enabling/disabling with a logoff between. - I've checked out the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\Explorer\NoWinKeys key, and it's set to binary zero. - HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout doesn't have a "Scancode Map" key at all. Any suggestions much appreciated. Brian
