Privilege Problems or other?

I have XP Home SP2 edition on both my desk top and lap top and am running

with the same privileges. Today I tried to add a second monitor. No problem

on the desk top, but the lap top does not work. I get all the tabs, Themes,

Desktop, Screen Saver, Appearance, and Settings on the desk top. On the lap

top I only get Display. Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

Robert.

Hello Robert,

If this is a work laptop, there might be policies enforced on the machine by the system admin. Else,

you can enable the rest of the tabs by running the following edits:

Restore All Display Tabs (line 285, right column)

Re: Privilege Problems or other?

No, it's not office, it's all mine. Sorry I didn't answer that.

Also the change you suggested changed the resolution on my screen. Only

problem with that is it forces me to use my glasses. Guess I getting really

old.

Would appreciate any more help you or others might give.
