Guest void.no.spam.com@gmail.com Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 I'm not sure what just happened, but I am no longer able to run gpedit.msc on my Windows XP SP2 laptop. When I try to run it, I get a "You do not have permission to perform this operation. Access is denied." error. This happens with 2 different Administrative users. I even rebooted and that didn't help. The only thing unusual that I did tonight is that I added a Deny everything permission for the Users group to the C:\WINDOWS \system32\GroupPolicy\User folder. But I have removed that permission now, and I still get the error message. Any idea what's wrong?
