Hello,

I have a user that has XP SP2 in a Windows 2003 server environment

that has to reboot her PC every morning to reconnect the printers and

drives.

Does anyone know why her PC would be dropping network shares like

this?

Thanks,

Steve

- How do you make the connections in the first place?

- What makes you think that the connections are "dropped"?

The connections are all share drives on the network, that are mapped

from the XP PC.

In the morning when she comes in and wants to print to the share

printer on the network or access the drives they are unavailable until

she either remaps or reboots.

You did not really answer the question about HOW the connections

are made in the first place, hence my advice may miss the mark. To

get robust share mappings, use explicit commands in your logon

script, e.g. like so:

net use /persistent:no

net use Q: \\YourServer\SomeShare
