Guest Win2k3 64 Bit Licensing..Critical! Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 I have a windows 2003 64 Bit Evaluation Server installed running SQL2005 for a specific application. We were forced to upgrade immediately from 32bit due to a requirement from our outside vendor. We used the Evaluation version until our VLK key came in. We now have the VLK and would like to upgrade the license. How do I do this without screwing up the SQL 2005 install which is running our application? Thank you! Fred
Guest Kevinm Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Re: Windows Eval about to expire!!, best method of changing license ke When you upgrade from an Evaluation version to a retail version all of your settings are maintained. To upgrade you need to attach the install media to the server, run setup, and then follow the upgrade process. -- ~Kevinm WLKMMAS [x-MVP] "Win2k3 64 Bit Licensing..Critical!" <Win2k364BitLicensingCritical@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A9B04025-B67E-4A72-9B6E-58B71EB00295@microsoft.com...
