Shut Dowen button on TS

Hi,

Is it possible to configure user rights on a TS server, so that they dont

get the Shut Down button, from the Start. They can have Log Off, buit I am

worried that someone will click the Shut Down.

Yes, make sure your terminal users aren't Power Users, admins, or local

administrators. Normal Domain Users won't have the shut down option.

Well it will say "Shut down" but if you select it the actual Shut down option

isn't there.

Hi Alex,

 

If your user doesn't have rights (for example if they are a standard user)

then they can't shutdown the machine anyway - however you can remove the

shutdown option with group policy so it doesn't appear either.

 

See this link - it says 2000 but the information is valid upwards too...
