Remote Desktop Users - Security Group

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I find that users who are members of Domain Users and Remote Desktop Users

can establish a connection to the Windows 2003 Server just fine.

But when this same user attempts to connect to their workstation, the

Windows XP TS will not allow the connection. If I add Domain Admin and

Administrators to the user, they can then also connect the Windows XP TS.

How can I allow a user to connect to their own workstation without making

them an Administrator?

Thanks!

Right-click on My Computer and go into Manage.

Select the "Remote" tab and check the Allow users to connect remotely to

this computer. Then click the "Select Remote Users" and choose who can

connect to the XP machine. I don't believe they have to be local admins if

you do this.
