Guest Talal Itani Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Hello, I need to buy a high-end Asus mother board, 1333 fsb. The motherboards comes with either Intel or NVIDIA chipsets. Is one better than the other? What are the tradeoffs? Thanks. Talal

Intel = I really didn't want a new motherboard, anyway. As always, YMMV. -- XS11E, Killing all posts from Google Groups The Usenet Improvement Project: http://blinkynet.net/comp/uip5.html
Guest Rich Barry Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Re: Asus MotherBoard - NVIDIA or Intel If you want to overclock your system then definitely get Nvidia. Otherwise, either is Ok. It will really come down to exactly what area of performance you want. I'm sure there are plenty of compariasons on the web at hardware sites, you are best to do your own homework. Since this an XP group and not a hardware group you are better off asking in one of the hardware groups, (and start a flame war).
Guest Newbie Coder Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Re: Asus MotherBoard - NVIDIA or Intel I thend to agree with Dobey here You know the manufacturers of the chipsets but you haven't given versions Are you getting a standard ATX for single processor or an EATX for dual processors? What types of cases are they going in & how many PCI/PCI Express slots are there? Isn't the 1333 MHz ECC Registered RAM in some cases? My server is. All theses & more have to be taken into account -- Newbie Coder (It's just a name) "dobey" <a@v.nox> wrote in message news:eSXB$BK0HHA.1168@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > > "Talal Itani" <titani@verizon.net> wrote in message > news:l6uqi.783$8u1.294@trnddc07... > > Hello, > > > > I need to buy a high-end Asus mother board, 1333 fsb. Personally, I've never preferred Intel chipsets. -- http://www.bootdisk.com/
