I have 21 programs/shortcuts pinned to the start menu (in the upper righthand side) when I reduced the number to 20 the popup warning box stops. I think the default maximum programs/shortcuts pinned to the start menu without activating the warning box is 20. Who knows where in the registry this number is stored? I hope i could changed it to more than 20 by editing the registry. Thank you!! -- ************************************************************************** Stephen Lo, Vancouver, BC., CA.
Guest Kelly Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Re: Repost: Nobody can HELP? - Disable a warning box from the start menu Depending on your resolution, you can pin up to 30. Set MRU to 0 and clear list. To pin folders: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers Add key: {a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708-a0b2badd77c8} Or download from line 398. Once merged, Shift/Right Click/Pin. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm For the lower half: Default is 6. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced Right pane: Start_MinMFU -- All the Best, Kelly (MS-MVP/DTS&XP) Taskbar Repair Tool Plus! http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm "Stephen Lo" <losl_removethis@canada.com> wrote in message news:46AD723F.6010300@canada.com... > Stephen Lo wrote: >> I am using WinXP Pro SP2.
