Hi Bullet

Try this:

Go to Control Panel then Network Connections

Right-click on the Lacal Area Connection and select Properties

Click on TCP/IP and click on Properties

Click on the Alternate Configuration tab

Make sure its set to Automatic

It also might be a setting on the Xbox

Have you tried resetting the settings on the Xbox?

Curious

dont have an Xbox just making a guess

Hmmm Strange Your Connecting YOUR XBOX with an Ethernet cable directly into your machine, is the cable a cross over or just a standard patch cable, sounds to me your only sending information only one way thus the limited connection.

Try buying a Crossover cable

Was your Computer Damaged by Power Failure?

Could have a faulty component.

Have you changed the Ethernet Cable you were using?

any Physical Hardware changes to the machine?

ASK the company you sent your pc away to be fixed if they formatted your machine could be you need to install software to play

Hope some of this helps

Right click on "My Computer" and select Manage>Device Manager. Click on the plus sign beside "Network Adapters". Right click on your ethernet controller and choose Uninstall. When it's uninstalled, restart the computer and Window's will install it again.
