Win98SE disc

I ended up needing to use an old PC with Win 98SE and need the original OS

disc to configure for internet use. Of course, that disc is long gone.

Anyone know how to get an original Win 98SE OS CD for this purpose??

Thanks!

Re: Win98SE disc

Borrow one and copy it or buy one on EBay. Best thing to do when you get

hold of one is to copy the WIN98 folder to your hard drive, then point any

dialogues that want the files to that folder.

You sure the files aren't already on the machine? Use Find to search for

WIN98*.CAB files. If you find a bunch, that's your installation files

folder.

Re: Win98SE disc

I also need a copy and didn't see one on ebay when I checked this morning.

If you know where I can buy one pls share the info. I can't even get my

laptop to boot because the OS is gone. Called HP and they told me to buy Win

98 SE and reload but I can't even find the disc
