Guest mmlgoh Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 I can't see the language bar option when I right click the taskbar and point to Toolbars. When I when to the regional language settings in control panel , the language bar seems to be disable. How can I enable it? Do I have to install Microsoft Offic first?
Guest Rey Santos Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 RE: I can't open the language bar To show the Language bar 1. Click Start menu, and then click Control Panel. 2. Click Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options. (Category view) 3. Click Regional and Language Options, and then click the Languages tab. 4. Under Text services and input languages, click Details. 5. On the Settings tab, click Language Bar, and then select the Show the Language bar on the desktop check box. If you do this while an Office window is open it will appear at the top right of the window. The Language bar is displayed automatically if you install a text service such as handwriting and speech recognition programs, or an Input Method Editor (IME). IMEs are used to enter East Asian language characters with a keyboard. Maybe these services were not installed yet. Example, if you need the speech recognition engine it must be installed. It is available with Microsoft Office XP, but might not have been installed. To determine if the speech recognition engine is installed 1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Speech. 2. If the Speech Recognition tab is available in Speech Properties, the speech recognition engine is installed. If it is not available, the engine is not installed. To install speech recognition from Microsoft Word 2002/2003 1. Open Microsoft Word. 2. On the Tools menu, click Speech. Speech recognition will install (wait). 3. Speech recognition is now available in all Office programs as well as other programs for which it is enabled. If the language bar is still missing follow the steps above. -- Rey "mmlgoh" wrote: > I can't see the language bar option when I right click the taskbar and point > to Toolbars. > > When I when to the regional language settings in control panel , the > language bar seems to be disable. > > How can I enable it?
