Outlook Outbox

I have no messages in my outbox but at the bottom of the screen it keeps telling me its sending 1 of 26 messages. This number keeps increasing. Receiving e mails is fine and it sends new ones.

 

Using outlook 2003 on XP.

 

Any suggestions?

sound like your outlook was hijacked

try this

 

click on start then run

 

type this

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe " /cleanprofile

 

then try this

 

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe " /cleanrules

 

this hopefully will resolve your problem

 

if it doesnt try backing up your emails to a pst file and re-installing outlook
