Guest Trish Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Hi, I often put shortcuts on my deskop and like to easily identify them by the icon. I used to simply right-mouse-click on the existing icon, go to properties, change icon and select from a range. Now I can see these any more. In any event, there was not that much to choose from. What is the best way to change an icon, and when I browse for an icon, where should I go? Many thanks.

If it disappears from there when you reboot, try this registry tweak: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Line 30. Windows XP Doesn't Save User Settings -- Joe =o)
