Guest Chris Miner Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I'm a primarly a sales/desktop technician for a small business with really limited experience on servers. I would like to get on a track to MCSE but from what I hear the 70-290 is not a test to jump into without previous knowledge. Anyone have any suggestions on books or something I can just gain good experience doing? Chris MCTS
Guest Chuck Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 RE: Question for MCSA/E's Hi Chris, If you have some experience with windows XP / Active Directory, you can start with the exam 70-270 (windows XP) and after going to 70-290. The best way to achieve you certification is to have a book and a virtual environment to practice. The book i will suggest is the MS Book for the certification. There is one book / exam. To complete your MCSE, you will need to pass 7 exams Core exams: 70-270, 70-290, 70-291, 70-293, 70-294 1 elective exam and 1 design exam. ` You can have the requirements here http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcse/windows2003/default.mspx Chuck "Chris Miner" wrote: > I'm a primarly a sales/desktop technician for a small business with really > limited experience on servers.
