How to enable the Run Command in Windows Vista:

 

  • Right-click on the Taskbar and select Properties

  • Then click on the Start Menu Tab:

Click on Customize like this:

  • In the box scroll down to Run Command and Tick the box next to it like this:

  • Then click on the OK button in both windows.

Then it should look like this when you click on the Start Menu

The Run Command can also be enabled or disabled in other versions of Windows in the same manner. In the other versions of Windows the Run Command is enabled by default.
