drewappling Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Since Intel is has released quad core processors will future releases of SBS 2003 and later support quad core technology? I've built a few servers recently using 2 dual core Xeon processors with SBS 2003 standard and from what I've seen it recognizes each core as a physical processor. On Microsofts website it says that SBS 2003 will support 2 "physical" processors but each core to my understanding is not considered a physical processor. Also does anyone know of a patch that will fix this?
Guest Joshua Bolton Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 RE: SBS question Supports 1-4 processors out of the box. So if you do dual dual cores you are covered to 4 cps. No if you did 4 processors dual core you would need to license 8 processors.
