Guest Richard H Paul Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 My taskbar is stuck in the up position and I like to have it hide itself when not in use. For some reason this has stopped working. I have chosen the "autohide taskbar" option under "Properties" on the right-clicked taskbar menu. The taskbar hid itself once then stuck back up again and won't go down into hidden position. Why might this happen and how to fix it?
Guest Rey Santos Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 RE: taskbar won't hide itself Try this: Enter task manager, find explorer.exe and end that process. Go to file in the task manager window and click new task(run). Type "Explorer" click OK Then you may notice that some of the icons on the system tray are already gone. If you have Ghost installed, it has a system tray application which is keeping the taskbar up because its continually in use. If you close Ghost's helper, the taskbar would behave correctly. Other applications may be similar so try exiting them in your system tray. -- Rey "Richard H Paul" wrote: > My taskbar is stuck in the up position and I like to have it hide itself > when not in use.
