Guest imported_Mike Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Im not sure if its a good thing or a sin, but i got invited - and accepted - an invitation for Windows Live Messenger, the next generation of M$ apparently. :P Those of you who use MSN Messenger, probably found the jump from 6 - 7 a big'ish one in terms of features available. Winks, Nudges, Backgrounds, Handwriting tool, etc.. Well don’t get too excited because there isn’t that much that has changed. :D Apart from a face lift, the option to change a few colours and display settings, and some more personal information for each contact, everything still “feels” the same. However it is still in beta stages and due for release in mid 2006, so there is still time to improve. I have heard that Microsoft will be integrating some sort of VoIP system. Will be interesting to see how it compares to its competitor Skype. That looks alright actually. Haha.. I decided to pixelate all links and everything which “could” be offensive. Lol, quiet a lot then. PriceChild Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Well I am not impressed yet by M$... Just looks a bit more pretty WHAT!!!! first time i loaded it up i had to shield my eyes from the orange before my retinas burnt out! Ouch... I really don't think it looks better at all! It may be more colourful and smoother, but just looks like a child choose the colours! The shared folders thing seemed ok, nothing special really. Final opinion... i can't believe i booted up windows just to install that "thing"... *hugs gaim* Pricey Quote

kevmoran68 Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 I have just changed from messenger 7.5 to Windows live messenger. It has installed ok but for some reason I cant see other contacts display picture and they cant see mine even though I have ensured under tools that I have the box ticked for allowing others to see my display picture. Why cant they see it and vice versa??? Quote
