Guest Andy Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Hi there, I joined a Windows 2003 Standard X64 R2 server to my current domain. I am having problems with replication. I followed all of the instructions with dcdiag.exe I could find on technet. In active directory sites and services when I tell my new server to push replication to my old server i get the following error: "The following error occured during the attempt to synchronize naming context domain.com from domain controller DCnew to domain controller DCold. The naming context is in the process of being removed or is not replicated from the specified server. This operation will not continue" Anyone have any idea why these two wont talk? both servers are global catalog servers. The only thing i noticed about the old server is when i run the dcdiag DNS tests it tells me that it cant connect to the WMI on the old server, could this be an issue? thanks, -Drew

Guest Andy Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Re: Joined new secondary domain controller to domain, having issues. Hi Danny, I do not receive an 'Access Denied' error message, I receive a 'The naming context is in the process of being removed or is not replicated from the specified server. This operation will not continue" error message. thanks, -Drew "Danny Sanders" <DSanders@NOSPAMciber.com> wrote in message news:O6p0i460HHA.4928@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > See: > > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/303305/en-us > > hth > DDS > > "Andy" <aweaver@ee.net> wrote in message > news:uHJ2wn60HHA.4344@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >> Hi there, I joined a Windows 2003 Standard X64 R2 server to my current >> domain.
