Apparently I'm using 86% of my hard disk. To me, I have no clue how I'm using that much. What takes up hard disk space? Is it just general programs you have installed on your PC, or something else? I've already run disk defrag, and disk cleanup multiple times. Neither freed up any space. Please help.

Yes Flockers, installed programs and applications do take up Disk Space. Can you tell us how many hard drives you have. On an average, a normal computer has two disks namely C:\ and D:\. If you are short on space on one, then you might want to consider storing on the other or on external media like Flash drives, CDs and DVDs. :)

Free up Hard Disk space

You might also want to use a third party program like DiskDATA to analyze where your disk space is going. :)

Music, video and photos take up a lot of disk space.
