Guest Jo999 Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I looked at my Control Panel and all the entries in there are not the ones that were originally there. This happened shortly after I uninstalled Yahoo. It does not give the size of the program, not is there a remove button I can click to remove them. I tried the registry, but they are not listed there. I even did a search for the programs and came up empty. How do I get rid of them? Thanks for any help.

Hello, Go to Start => Run and type in "regedit" {without the quotes} Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall \<Program Name here> Some don't have a recognizable name, just a long series of letters and numbers, but look in the right-hand pane at DisplayName. In the right-hand pane: Check if these values exist, and if so, Double-click on 'NoRemove' and set its value to 0 Double-click on 'NoModify' and set its value to 0 If NoRemove is set to 1, the Remove button will be unavailable If NoModify is set to 1, the Change button will be unavailable
Guest Jo999 Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Re: Add/Remove Programs I already tried that and the programs are not listed. The only one there is Belarc, which I installed 2 days ago. Nothing else is there.
