Guest Mani Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Hello, I got two viruses which were found in the temp internet files folder. I deleted them but now the option "tools/options" doesn't work. ( it just flashes up for a second then disappears) Is there a way to fix this aside from a re-install ? thankyou for all helpful advice.

I tried everything you suggested but none of the settings on my comp resembled what you described, neither gpedit nor regdit. But thx for trying to help. Guest Mani Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Re: virus disable IE7 tools/options Hi Kelly, tried script 268 but it didn't do the trick. Perhaps a reinstall will. Guest nass Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 RE: virus disable IE7 tools/options Hi Mani, It is regedit.exe you can copy and paste in the Run command and see or make the necessary changes in those keys mentioned before. If you cannot then Backup your data and be ready to wipe the HDD and perform a clean install. Please install the Anti-virus with firewall and Anti-malware first before connecting to the internet, also get updates from MS then try to scan the Data from the removal storage and copy to where you want it to be.
