Guest art Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I've been trying to download a 600 mb file. I can only get to about 20-30 mb (never the same number) when download stops. Eventually operation times out. I've tried mirror sites and different files, same result. A download of about 20 mb works fine. I've tried emptying temporary internet files (the space alloted to my temp files is at 1024 mb). I uninstalled IE7, and tried IE6, that got me to 40% of the 600 mb, then then stop. Any ideas of what trouble might be? Thanks for any help.

Whatever, you might try a download manager like GetRight. http://www.getright.com/ -- Gary S. I can only get to about 20-30 mb That's a pretty huge file, especially for a webmaster who has a limmited account. You might want to research installing a download manager, this way, in theory, the download can resume where it left off. -- http://www.bootdisk.com/
