Various sequences of beeps indicate a particular problem e.g. three short beeps might indicate the keyboard is not detected/unplugged, or two long beeps indicate bad memory. The user manual for your Motherboard would tell you what signals indicate the various hardware issues that could arise. To turn "off" the signal.....I don't know if you can. But you can probably *unplug* the speaker.....or disable the internal speaker in the BIOS settings. If nothing else, it indicates a problem - as does any alarm - burglar alarm, car alarm, fire alarm....whatever. I would try and trace and fix the problem rather than ignore it.
