Guest Doug Knox - [MS-MVP] Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Re: Help and support not running If you've run Toni Arts Easy Cleaner on your XP installation, and allowed it to delete what it found in the registry, then your Help and Support will not run. Easy Cleaner deletes the values of 2 necessary Registry keys. See my web site, http://www.dougknox.com and go to the Windows XP section. Follow the appropriate link for Fix Window XP Help. This small VB Script will repair the damage done by Easy Cleaner. Note: other Registry cleaning programs cause the same problem. -- Doug Knox, MS-MVP Windows Media Center\Windows Powered Smart Display\Security Win 95/98/Me/XP Tweaks and Fixes http://www.dougknox.com -------------------------------- Per user Group Policy Restrictions for XP Home and XP Pro http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_securityconsole.htm -------------------------------- Please reply only to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
