Guest Lester Stiefel Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I have a hardware firewall ready to use, but still require advice on some items the firewall traps. From indicators I have verified the services or applications to be "dllhost" and "svchost" from a trial firewall software solution, which has(d) the same behavior. The question is 'where can I find information on what ports either dllhost or svchost would use (in addition to 80).' -- Lester Stiefel Visit Family Radio Today http://www.familyradio.com/
Guest Martin C Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Re: Trying to start a hardware firewall solution - advice required This isn't exactly what you want, but it would be a good place to start. http://www.grc.com/port_80.htm Use the arrow buttons at the top of the page to go to the other port numbers for their descriptions. Hope this helps Martin "Lester Stiefel" <les7954@verizon.net> wrote in message news:eb5fw5W1HHA.4916@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > I have a hardware firewall ready to use, but still require advice on some > items the firewall traps.
