When I create a new account using XP Home and switch or call the new user, I

get an IE script error when the new user page opens. The error is non

descript and I get multiple errors as I close them out. Any help?

Hi Bumpa,

What error script you get, please send the exact wording fir the error.

Make sure your machine is clean from Viruses and Malware by scanning.

Error message when you try to open the User Accounts item in Control Panel

on a Windows XP-based computer: "Microsoft HTML Application host has

encountered a problem and needs to close"

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919751

Open a run command adn type in:

regsvr32 nusrmgr.cpl Click [OK]

regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\shgina.dll click [OK]

and then Reboot your machine

Read this link:

Open the Run Command and see the permissions on these keys:

[-] HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System\ "administrators" Allow full Control

HKEY_CURRENT_USER / "administrators" Allow full Control

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT / "administrators" Allow full Control

%SystemDrive% / "administrators" Allow full Control

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /Software\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer "administrators"

Allow full Control

"Internet Explorer Script Error" error message when you click User Accounts

in Control Panel many times in quick succession on a Windows XP-based computer

RE: IE script error

There is really no wording int the script error.

Internet Explorer Script Error

An error has occured in the script on this page

line:

char:

Error:

Code:

Url:

The IE script error does not occur when I'm in control panel. The error

occurs when I click on a user other than myself from the welcome screen or

when I switch users from log off and the new user page loads.
