Guest Ken Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Following last weeks release of KB939373 for bulletin MS07-041, several of our developers began experiencing problems with IIS installed locally on their Windows XP SP2 workstations. the obvious negative impact was IIS failed to start producing the following error: Error 127: The specified procedure could not be found. troubleshooting 101 says undo the last thing done, so we uninstalled the patch and IIS began working. It is worth noting out of the 22 developers only 4 were experiencing the problems and I confirmed they all had the patch installed. I have "unapproved" this patch from being deployed to any other workstations with WSUS to prevent the situation from escalating however, I do believe the vulnerability is rated important with remote code execution so I would like to have the patch installed on the exposed machines. Currently I have been unable to manually reproduce the results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- Thanks, Ken
