Word 97

I have Windows 98SE and Word 97.......When I try to copy and paste something

to word, it shows up as 2 gray boxes on top of each other, no text

appears..Could there be a setting wrong?.....This happens in works also.......

 

Notepad works, but I don't like using notepad because it cuts some of your

words into when you print....Thanks
