This post might get a little long. I will detail out as much of the problem

as I can and the steps I have taken to try to resolve the issue. Sorry in

advance.

Here is the main issue. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1, and when I try to

access files on our network I receive and error message:

Explorer.exe – Application Error

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process ID=0x### (####), Thread ID=0x### (####)

Click OK to terminate the application

Click Cancel to debug the application

By clicking Cancel I receive the following:

Explorer.exe – Application Error

The instruction at “0x000#####” referenced memory at “0x000####”. The memory

could not be written.

Click OK to terminate the program

Click on CANCEL to debug the program.

Then I receive an error in Application Log:

..NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.42 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A05E2B3)

(80131506)

I can open the files just fine with Adobe, but anytime I right click on them

I receive this error and I can not do anything with the files. Also this only

happens with PDF files. I can move rename manipulate all other files types.

I tried uninstalling Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 from the machine. Then it

skips straight to the memory could not be written error. Still does not work.

With the .NET still installed, I have uninstalled the Adobe Acrobat 8.1

program. Then I can move the PDF files, but can not open them like I need to.

It wil let me right click cut and paste though.

With Adobe and the .NET programs installed I have booted the computer to

Safe Mode with Networking. When I use this I can do anything I want. I can

open the files and I can move and manipulate them.

The computer is part of a Business Domain. From another computer on the

network with Adobe and the .NET using my login credentials I can access the

files and again can do what I need to with them.

The windows firewall has been disabled along with my antivirus program.

Still nothing is working on this computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled

Adobe 3 times, and even downloaded the latest version.

At first I was thinking it was a problem with Adobe, but why can I access

the files with Adobe running in Safe Mode? Why can I move or rename the files

is Adobe in uninstalled.

This is just way beyond me and I am hoping some of you maybe able to help.

I appreciate any advice you can provide.
