Guest Wolfeymole Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Hi Lee How long did you leave it in the garage? It may well be the the motherboard battery is dead. Also check inside to make sure no cards or memory have come loose. Quote
leeajohnson Posted June 21, 2008 Author Posted June 21, 2008 it was left in the garage for about 21 months! can the battery be replaced? Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Yes it can. This is a pic of the mobo battery at the bottom left hand corner squared in Blue. http://www.mysuperpc.com/build/epox_8rdaplus_motherboard_battery_cr.jpg Prise it out gently and just replace it, they are about £2 in tesco. Look for a CR2032 3v Quote

Guest Wolfeymole Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Did you make sure all graphics cards and memory sticks are secure? Quote

Goku Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Hello Johnson. Can you please visit the following link and look up for the cause of your problem by counting the number of beeps you get? It would eliminate a lot of unnecessary Diagnostics Tests and Hardware Issues possibilities. If my computer beeps and fails to boot, what do the beeps mean? Let us know how it goes. Good Luck. :) -- Goku Quote
