Guest Kennard V. Wilson Jr. Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 I have Windows Xp Professional with service pack 2 on my Dell Latitude D600 laptop, and have noticed an unusual problem lately. When in the docking station, if allowed to go into the screensaver (which is locked and passworded), after 3 or so hours you can't CTRL-ALT-DEL to enter your password and unlock the screensaver. It doesn't come up. Hasn't any one else seen this problem and how does one get around it? Thanks. - Kennard

Thanks. - Kennard Hi Kennard, Sounds like it's shutting down after a certain time, or going into hibernation. Check your Power settings and if you don't want that to happen, turn it off (right click the Desktop, Properties, Screen Saver tab, Power button, Power Schemes & Hibernate tabs). I have a screensaver go on for a short time, then the display turns off, then the unit powers down. You have to press the power button to power up or exit hibernation. -- Terry R. ***Reply Note*** Anti-spam measures are included in my email address.
