COM Surrogate has stopped working

Hi dont no if I have posted this thred in the right place but i keep getting a window popping up that says

 

Com surrogate has syopped working

 

A problem caused this program to stop working correctley

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is avalible.

 

the solution just reffers you to Xvid.org: Home of the Xvid Codec?

Perfectly Goku, are you running some kind of script blocker?

No Wolfey. Anyways, I am posting a copy of it just so that if Mathhew encounters the same problem as me. The simplest solution is as follows that works for most people.

 

1. Right click on Computer and choose Properties.

2. Click on Advanced System Settings and then under Advanced, click Settings.

3. Select the Data Execution Protection tab and then click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.

4. Click on the Add button and then browse to C:\Windows\System32\dllhost.exe as shown.

5. Click Open, and then OK.

 

It should work fine after that. Let us know if it helps or not. Good Luck. :)
