Printer Spooler Issue's

When I try to install a printer i get the following error message "operation

could not be completed".

When i go to file and check server properties i get the following error

message "Server properties cannot be viewed. The print spooler service is not

running".

I've tried a few things such as cleaning up the printer drivers but it

hasn't helped.

After reading advice on here I went to Start, Run and typed in Services.MSC

and checked the Spooler Service.

The status is stopped. But when i try and start it i get the following error

message "Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified"

This is very frustrating...does anyone know how i can fix this problem?

Thanks in advance

RE: Printer Spooler Issue's

I am not sure if this will fix your problem but it could.

1. Search for "spoolsv.exe" It should be here: "C:\WINDOWS\system32

\spoolsv.exe"

2. If not found, search for it online or I can upload it for you.

3. Probably in the Registry. Copy between the lines and paste into Notepad.

Save-

as Spool.reg

RE: Printer Spooler Issue's

I've still got this problem. I did what you suggested I should and it hasn't

fixed it. A friend has tried to send me the spoolsv.exe file but it never

works as windows see's it as being an unsafe file and blocks it. Very Stumped.
