Guest Bill Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 I have a wireless network(mshome)with 2 desktops and 2 laptops.One of my desktops has disappeared from the network and I can no longer access it or access any of the other pc's from it.In the system properties it is still shown as being in the workgroup"mshome". help please.

Could be anything. If there is a third-party firewall installed, remove it and use the built-in WinXP firewall instead. Remove the WLAN connection from that desktop computer and create it again. Compare all relevant settings (eg. TCP/IP settings, WLAN channel etc.) with the other PCs. Scan the system for Malware in addition. If this doesn't help, repost to http://news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.networking.wireless -- d-d
