Mouse and cursor problem - odd

Hi there, thanks in advance for any help.

I have a strange problem where the active point of the mouse cursor is not

where the cursor appears. The cursor I see is about 1 cm to the diagnal

left. For example, if i want to click a button, i have to move the mouse

cursor 1 cm to the diagnal left.

The problem is intermittent. I also have 2 screens and it doesn't happen on

my extended screen, only the primary one.

When it does happen, i cannot move the cursor onto the taskbar.

It seems to go back to normal when i change to a different app, other than

windows explorer (i think).

Thanks for any help,

John

Try this:

Open Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers tab > Select (None) scheme and click OK

Good Luck, Ayush.

Thank you Ayush, that solved the problem. That was an odd one and it's

surprising you knew the answer. Thanks again,

John
